Stop The Leaks

Process

How an investigation runs

A defined sequence from first contact to a documented answer, with no surprises and no work performed without a quote.

  1. 1. Describe the problem

Call or email. Tell us what you see, hear or smell, when it appears, and what has already been tried. Photos help.

  2. 2. Scoping and quote

You receive a fixed quote for the investigation before work begins. Scope covers what will be tested and what the report will contain.

  3. 3. On-site investigation

Non-invasive methods first: acoustic listening, correlation, thermal imaging, moisture metering, tracer gas, line tracing or pressure isolation, chosen to fit the symptom.

  4. 4. Confirmation

A finding is only reported when confirmed by a second method or an independent test. Single-method clues are labelled as such.

  5. 5. Written report

Locate findings, photographs, readings, limitations, and next steps by trade. Dated and suitable for insurers, councils and managers.

  6. 6. Follow-up

On request, we re-test after repair to confirm the loss has stopped, so the file closes with evidence rather than assumption.
